My father-in-law, Bob Doerring, sang the National Anthem, without any craziness : ) , at the Iowa Speedway at the July race. Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth and Newton’s own Jill George were some race favorites that day! Go Jill!
At 71 years old, Bob’s voice is as sweet and strong as ever! I was so proud of him and very much hiding my tears behind my camera that day. As strong as he appears to be, I know he is all sweet on the inside and would have lost it had he seen the tears running down my face!
Way to go Bob!
