Do you hula?

Our neighborhood block party was last night.  The kids ran up and down the street without fear, great music was played on the street, a very diverse group cheered on the equally diverse performances and fun was had by all.

I loved all that but the thing that kept my attention the longest was sweet Shawna the hula hooper.  She is self taught, makes her own hoops and did the hula for at least 6 hours, yes, hours!  She could move her body and that hoop with such grace, I swear it was an extension of her mind and body.   I watched her many times helping little ones and handicapped people how to shake their thing and feel good even if for just a few shakes.

She makes her own hoops and took orders last night.  Girl, I’m serious, you need to teach a class!    Shawna was amazing with her talent and her heart last night.      Keep it up!

Brecken

Meet Brecken.    I love his name - guess where his parents got engaged!   Brecken’s daddy is one of the more engaged fathers that I have seen in a long time.  He was the best at swaddling a baby.

Enjoy him!!!

Mr Colin

More of my little baby boom!   More to come also, I have many babies scheduled between now and Christmas!  Keep growing babies!

Here are Colin and Sophia - cousins to Cael and Carly.    Thank you all once again for making the big trip to see me!  I know what an effort it is just to get them here let alone after a nice car ride.  I am humbled.

I love Colin’s hair, his eyes are fabulous and he has the sweetest little nursing blister on his upper lip.  I can’t tell you how much I love that!!!

They grow up too fast!  colin21.jpg

My heart hurts….

My studio line and cell phone started ringing about this same time a few minutes ago.   Sweet Jace earned his angel wings about an hour ago.

Jace and his family gave me one of my most powerful photographic memories ever.  Tara asked for a picture of Jace’s scar and this picture is what happened.  It is on my studio wall and I look at it every single day.

I am praying for Tara, Travis, and Jenna,  Meloday whose Tyler has greeted Jace in Heaven, Nolan who was such a buddy to Jace and to all of New Sharon whose hearts are broken.

Here is Jace’s CarePage.

Notes

I get alot of comments about the music on my website.  People always want to know how they can get it.   I kept telling my friend david that and he listened.   You won’t find my site music on this but some great stuff by david and his buddies.

or to buy directly at CD Baby.  It is a top seller this week  :  )       And, if you haven’t bought anything from CD Baby before,  it is great.  Their writers are creative and fun!

The packaging and disc are my designs but the photography is david’s.  I’m laughing as I type that.  As many pictures as I have taken of him (certainly my most photographed subject) I didn’t have any pics of just his guitar.  He came to the rescue and what came out of it in the end, I loved!
