I’m going to keep going and I will win!  Maybe I already have!

A 6 State Week!

Virginia , Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Georgia.   Each session a different state this week.   That is crazy good!

Here are my Missouri girls!   I have been so lucky to photograph them many times when they come home to see Grandma and Grandpa.  Some of my all time favorite pictures are of Emerson and Avery when we were playing just on a piece of cement.    The light was amazing that morning painting the most beautiful images for me to capture.

I love this foot picture.   I love the negative space, her little toe, the rock.  Call me crazy, I know.  I admit it.

The weather this week wasn’t so perfect for outdoor but we got some beautifully simple portaits with their equally beautiful mommy.   I liked the squishy feel to this one.

My heart breaks….

I’ve typed here and retyped and retyped.  I just simply cannot speak except to ask that you pray for my pal as he begins to fight again the battle against the ugly beast.    If you would like to keep updated with his story and progress, visit his website and sign up for his newsletters.  www.davidmbailey.com     Throughout these last days, his poetry has been amazing and so honest.  Please pray.  He has much work left to do.

I can talk about this pictures and smile for sure.     Although this isn’t a huge laugh, some of my favorite images are always the head down, eyes closed and grinning pics.    I know you’ll see the smile but I always wonder what stupid thing I’ve said to him to make him laugh and look away.    So worldly and rich with life experience, he acts amused but inside is probably wondering how he got mixed up with this small town Iowa girl.  Go ahead david, laugh.  Please.   And get better soon.    The world needs more people like you.

My heart melts….

OK OK so I do love all my clients but when you photograph children several times, you do fall in love, ok sometimes deeply in love.  How can you not love this face?  The curls?   The best thing about Miss L, she loves me too!!!!  I think she loves the deer in Bret’s room and my candy drawer too!

Mr. T makes me smile.   All we had to do was make a few sounds and he would go into his funny faces.

I’m thankful….

that I love my job!

that people keep coming back in spite of me : )

that 2 year old Lili walked in today so very excited to see me (or maybe Bret’s deer head or maybe the candy).  Either way, I love her!

that I love my clients!

that I have two more seniors to finish up!  I’ll start blogging all the wonderful stories from the year soon.

that there are 28 framed collages and pictures in my living room waiting to be picked up tomorrow!   Thank you Emily for all your hard work!

that my Christmas card creativity block finally came unstuck!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

PS - because many have asked.  Keep praying for david from my post below.  No biopsy results have been made public but we certainly know it is a setback.
