If you are traveling with small children, put your oxygen mask on first then your child.
Believe it or not, I look forward to January. I love January. After feeling crazy busy for the last 7 months of the year, January means a much needed rest, time to go to photography schools, time to catch up on all the work that wasn’t Christmas related, time to clean my desk, time to learn new things, time to just be.
Usually by Christmas, the last thing I want to do is pick up my camera. Something was different this year. On December 26th I had this huge desire to shoot. On December 27th, I still have a huge desire to shoot. I’m confused but not worried. I confused but very happy. I’m confused but totally excited I can’t even stand it.
So the day after Christmas when I should have had the desire to shop, I wanted and did shoot. I found a model (ie someone who would freeze in the snow with me for two hours) and just played. My heart wanted and very much needed to just shoot, just for me and because I wanted to with no pressure.

For those of you who are waiting on me, I’m sorry. I had to put my oxygen mask on first. I’m breathing and loving life! I can breath beter for others once I am breathing myself. It has been a great lesson.
I can’t wait for January and I can’t wait to shoot again. I am sooo happy! And, I’m so back to work! Yippeeeee!
Thank you Jamie for braving the cold and my crazy brain, not sure which is worse : )
