Kyle was born in April of 1994. The hospitals were crazy busy with babies at that time. The cause, 9 months after the horrible floods in Des Moines. Kyle is not a flood baby, we were high and dry in Newton but it is a fun memory of the time.
Bret and I both have our college degrees in accounting so it was always so funny that Kyle was born on tax day. I love you Kyle John and am always proud of you! Kyle John – after his great grandfathers, John Doerring and John C Hanley.
Cole has always been very easy to spot because he has worn that John Deere hat since he was 3. I was trying to think of Kyle’s thing and found two things very quickly as I looked through his images. When he was about 3, my Uncle Steve brought him a Mark McGuire Cardinals tshirt. Steve didn’t have any idea what size Kyle was but lets just say the tshirt was HUGE. Kyle loved that shirt and wore it forever! First it was pajamas until he could finally wear it as a shirt one day. He has outgrown in now but it is for sure his most used gift ever. It began his love for the Cardinals and here he is wearing it at a Cardinals game. The other thing I saw over and over and over were white with blue stripe Adidas tennis shoes. He doesn’t wear them anymore but maybe I could convince him to let me get him a size 12 pair!
Shirt and shoes….
Kyle, Cole and their double cousin Katie – Grandpa Bob’s family lives 4 hours away but Katie lives in Newton too. Her mom and dad are both cousins to Bob. I think I have that right. Oh, check out the shirt and shoes.
One thing I love about looking through old pictures is to see the old decorating of my house. This blue wallpaper is in many many pictures. Believe it or not, it was an expensive spluge for me. Pat Penney hung it and it was not an easy task. The outfit is Baby Gap and from Aunt Marci.
More wallpaper…. A homemade but I think creative costume! The outfit is Baby Gap but from Aunt Laura. I made the pompoms and sorry about the tutu and lipstick Kyle.
This really was Kyle’s fish. If you’ve ever been fishing, you know how hard it is. Look at the floor of the boat. Those aren’t fake. It was an awesome but very rocky fishing trip. We ate salmon for a long time and loved it!
The piano, the violin and the saxaphone. No instrument now : (
Bubble gum….Sorry Dr Rab!
I love his crooked toes and part of the the diaper genie in the background. lol
At a prairie burn
Always the engineer!
The Adel sweet corn festival was always one of my favorite picture takin’ spots!
One of our favorite family portrait sessions. lol. I photographed Jill & Tony’s family and Jill took this. We have done that a few times, none without loud voices.
In a very cool hotel in Chicago.
The best place for a nap, in the bunk of the camper. The blanket is the fuzzy blanket that we all fight for.
