During a crazy fun afternoon this summer I got to shoot a few pictures for Ashley and Eric’s engagement. I photographed Ashley’s senior pictures so it is fun to see her in this new time of her life.

My friend david wrote a song in Newton in 2001. He sang it the first time for my friend Kelly and me. Now all these years later, he asked me to put my photographs with his music. Crazy.

I’ve been working on this for awhile. I saw my friend Kelly a couple of weeks ago. Kelly’s daughter Mackenzie died of a brain tumor 3 short months after I photographed her. david’s music kept Kelly’s spirit company in the many many dark nights surrounding Mackenzie’s illness. When I saw Kelly’s face, I remembered the perfect image for the last picture of this slideshow. It was as if Mackenzie knew, she knew it would be ok, It’s OK. Thank you Mackenzie for your sweet gift to us.

Gotta love shooting in new locations! Sheila scouted some great locations for our shoot in June. I had a great time shooting around that fountain all weekend although the wind made it a little unpredictable at times. I’ll post Amanda’s session later : )

Marcus is a gem. Why? Any guy that will put up with me and all my ideas for as long as he did, well he is a winner! Jenna, he is a keeper! Jenna is a keeper too Marcus but we know that!

I love my engagement pictures taken some 18 years ago, yikes! I am going to go get them out now after editing these. The style then was very formal, Bret in a suit and I was in a dress. While I can sure see what we look like, what I want to remember also is how we felt. You know, that brand new in love feeling. Marcus and Jenna, there are plenty of how you look pictures in your gallery and lots and lots of how you feel! Come back to these often to remember how you felt and still feel : )
