It’s OK

My friend david wrote a song in Newton in 2001.  He sang it the first time for my friend Kelly and me.  Now all these years later,  he asked me to put my photographs with his music.   Crazy.

I’ve been working on this for awhile.  I saw my friend Kelly a couple of weeks ago.  Kelly’s daughter Mackenzie died of a brain tumor 3 short months after I photographed her.  david’s music kept Kelly’s spirit company in the many many dark nights surrounding Mackenzie’s illness.   When I saw Kelly’s face, I remembered the perfect image for the last picture of this slideshow.   It was as if Mackenzie knew, she knew it would be ok, It’s OK.  Thank you Mackenzie for your sweet gift to us.

I’m not sure I can put a you tube video in here, you might have copy the link.

Miss Abbey

Thank you, really for your encouragement  :  )

I’m going to post several of Miss Abbey since her newborn and maternity aren’t on here.  She is two months now and growing so fast.  I see so much of her brother William in her but I see a new girlie twist which I just love!

McKenna Before & After

A baby explosion is what I’ve had!  I had four babies born while I was on vacation.  I’ve photographed three so far, one more tomorrow!    There is nothing like holding a new baby against your chest, I love this ‘job’!!!

I love before and afters!  Meet Miss McKenna who is so adored by her mommy and daddy (and Pooh and his friends too)!

Baby ?

In the days of so much technology, it is such a treat when mommy and daddy are tough enough to wait out the big suprise!   I don’t know that I could.

L had the cutest baby bump and I can’t wait to meet the baby!

Kick Counting

I didn’t want to mix this in with baby AJ’s post.    Photographers all over the country share Kick Counting with their clients.  One of our own lost her baby within hours of his scheduled C-Section and kick counting could have alerted doctors of a problem.  So this post is for baby James.

AJ’s mom mentioned that she had noticed him moving less.   Because he moved more after she ate, she always paid attention to his movements after dinner each day.  It was during her routine checks of AJ that she notice the decline.   After all the medical tests, it was determined that she needed to deliver AJ a little bit early.

If you are pregnant or know someone who is, be sure to read and understand kick counting.  You can find more info at the link below – it could save your baby’s life.
