Thank you to the people who have been asking if my blog is broken ; ) it is not. I’ve been shooting a little bit – or a lotta bit!!! I have had the time of my life this fall, shooting while my clients are changing. It sort of became a game for me to see what I might normally pass up.

Seriously….do I ever pay attention to my client? Really I do, I promise!

I love the browning of fall – except for the coming whitening of winter…..

So the lonely walnut picture, there is one thing I’d like to change about it, I’ll probably have to go reshoot it, seriously, I have the While I was shooting bug and love to make something at of ‘nothing’!

Kara and I were walking home from the gym one day and I remarked how beautiful the sky and light was – a sign that there had been too many icky days ; ) Pretty light + pretty girl + amazing light boy helper = a quick shoot. I love you pretty girl!!!

Please note – Kara is NOT a senior, she is older than that ~ the extra skin is not my normal senior look ; )

Here is sweet Kelcie, already graduated and getting a head start on college.

I reviewed her portraits trying to decide what to post and I went crazy. So, I’m stating the obvious. I am posting alot of images. I am posting some that are very similar. I don’t care. Meet Shannon, my future daughter-in-law. : ) Well she would be if Cole got his way. He knows she is a bit old than him and she has a boyfriend…. but he isn’t loosing hope!!!

Weather can mess up a session. It gets frustrating but in many cases it just means you get to see me twice ; ) A terribly windy day meant Lippy (yes, that was intentional and I love her for it) got to come back for remedial portraits, lol. Actually we had so much naughty fun the first time, I welcomed it! Libby’s mom and aunt came along both times, for those that know them, well I don’t need to say one more word!!!

My guilty pleasure: Dove Chocolate Truffles

My Kara

Well not my Kara, Kent and Jill’s Kara but I’ve loved watching her ‘grow’ up. Kara moved into an apartment in Iowa City today. I am very happy for her and very sad for me. Moving into the dorm means you still come home. An apartment seems more like moving away to me. No more summers home and no more school closing the dorms over break. I’m a wee bit attached to her ; )

We did another shoot a couple of weeks ago. I did edit a couple for therapy. Our mojo wasn’t great that day, both tired with much to do. Kara gets a little flack about the pictures I take of her. I mostly like the serious looks. I think it is because she has the most beautiful laugh, smile and bubble that just electrifies her face. I know it well and any smile my camera might catch just can’t really ‘get’ what my eyes see and my heart feels.

Because I can’t decide between bw or color…

same problem, I like both….

Little Miss Stinker

Yes her name is Isreal. How I wish I could get inside her little head. I swear we laugh at her the whole time, she is so very much in control of me. I love it! Really! I saw her at a track meet this Spring. I kept talking to her and she would act like she wasn’t interested in me at all. I would turn away and she would look. I would look at her, she would turn away. Yes, she is so in control ; )

Oh yea, she smiled ; )

My friend david has written a song that has found a special place in my soul. From that song came this word collage. Here are two pics and I’m not a product photographer ; ) I’m holding it in one so you can get a size perspective. This one may be gone already but I’ll soon have my very own.

If you have a prayer or two to spare, david will be undergoing his 5th craniotomy on Friday.
