My Class Reunion

Honestly, my 25th, ouch.  Really ouch.  But, I had the best time ever!!

Friday night my sweet Missy had a great tail gate planned.   You would think that the rain we had here would ruin it, nope.  We figured out how to back all of our ‘tails’ to each other and make a tent.  Yes we are a creative and determined group!    Saturday am was the all alumni breakfast and then Saturday night was our reunion.  We had it at a barn out in the country.  The weather was perfect as was the reunion.  Our foreign exchange student Peter came back from Holland, our class chef Dominic came from Montana and made some amazing food, Kristin was an excellent bar tender, people volunteered to do anything we asked.   My words really cannont describe how good it felt to see everyone and reconnect.  I wish we could all do it again next weekend.

I didn’t take as many pics as I would have liked.  Here are some and you can see, I really wanted pics of me with people.  Not my usual thought process but it worked and I’ll treasure these people and the memories always.

Too much of me, sorry to my facebook friends for the repeats.

My Rachel and Brooke

When the babies I photographed when I was first starting are now 8, I just shake my head.  Life really is fleeting.    Miss Rachel reminds me of that every time I see her.

Rachel and Brooke moved to Atlanta a few years ago.  They are sweet southern girls who amazingly haven’t picked up on the accent, yet.   I’m honored to be on the list of ‘must sees’ when they come home to see Grandma!   We were able to sneak in a few pictures which I’m so thankful for.

Pour Rachels eyes were hurting by the bright sun.  We kept walking to try to find a less bright place.  Mom Karen and I were busily chatting (yea, I hear you laughing thinking that I might chat) and Rachel stopped us.  She was just so precious telling me that she had found the perfect place.

Thanks girls for coming to see me just for a chat.  It meant more than you know!

Trey

Welcome baby Trey!  Trey’s coloring and size reminded me so much of my oldest son Kyle.  I know that for Trey’s parents, a 15 year old boy seems far off, trust me, it goes so fast.  How I wish I could go back for one hour and hold Kyle like I held Trey on his photo day.  Insert unexpected tears from the blogger  :  O

I love it when I’m editing an image and I find something sweet I didn’t remember seeing while shooting.     I loved how Trey’s little foot was resting on his beautiful mommy.

I love my job : )

I love the variety of my job.  In the midst of seniors and babies and families and children also comes the fun things that make me stretch a bit.  My photography and design work for my friend david certainly does that.   Now comes a car poster.  Remember I have an accounting degree so all this design stuff doesn’t come naturally to me.

So special thanks to Craig and Virginia who always know I can do it when I don’t think I can.

If you have a hot rod or just want to look, Baxter, Iowa on July 11th will be the place to be!

Miss Abbey

Thank you, really for your encouragement  :  )

I’m going to post several of Miss Abbey since her newborn and maternity aren’t on here.  She is two months now and growing so fast.  I see so much of her brother William in her but I see a new girlie twist which I just love!
