Gabe & Carsten

These boys had an awesome summer vacation as indicated by sweet Carsten’s outfit.  Can you imagine Hawaii before you are three?

I love watching my clients grow up!  Thank you boys for making the trip up the steps one more time!!!

Lovin’ in St Louis

Gotta love shooting in new locations!  Sheila scouted some great locations for our shoot in June.  I had a great time shooting around that fountain all weekend although the wind made it a little unpredictable at times.  I’ll post Amanda’s session later :  )

Best wishes Alex and Sheila!

Beautiful Bethany

Two beautiful girls this week named Bethany, one a baby and one in her 20s.  Isn’t that crazy?

I love this Bethany’s curls, chubby hands, huge smile when a new face walks up and her adorable teeth.  He mommy is crazy about her and as much as I love photographing, I also love to hear parents so crazy in love with their babies.  It takes me back.

Mommy had been planning Bethany’s 1 year pictures for over 6 months I swear.  Certainly one of the very first appointments on my books for 2008.  No pressure for me to live up to any expectations!!!   I’m still amazed how this photography thing has turned out!  : )

Meet Miss B - the apple of her momma’s eye for sure!

Miss B ~ a bridal

You know what stinks?  Photographing a beautiful bride, loving the images and not being able to share them!  ;  )    I would hate to ruin the lovely suprise her fiance and family will get to see in September.     From the reactions to passersby, I think everyone will approve.

Miss B grew up in Waterloo,  lives in North Carolina, is getting married in Chicago and had her bridals done in Newton.    I was honored to be a piece of that crazy mix

Here is just one!

Lily

She has me.  I’m sucked in to Lily’s sweetness.   When she came to my house last week her mommy told me that they had been talking about coming to visit the night before.  She said Lily got a big smile on her face and then said ’snack’.   Lily knows exactly where the snack drawer is at my house, I can’t tell you how much I love that!  She will come to me and let me cuddle and squeeze without even a squirm.

I’ve been photographing Lily since she was 6 months and it is so fun to watch the curls emerge.  Lots of curly girls this week!
