We have always watched American Idol with Kara. She fell ‘in love’ with Lee DeWyze from the beginning predicting that he would win. When Lee announced that he would be coming to Iowa City, she asked us to go. We decided to make a vacation out of it – Cole says anytime you stay in a hotel it is a vacation. I like his positive way of thinking….
We picked up Kara and went to the hotel, a very close 2 block drive. We pulled in and saw him outside right away (there was a bit of freaking) and then were behind him checking in. I got this very out of focus snap shot – couldn’t use flash or he would have known. I wish you could hear Kara, she was giggling so much, it really was the best.
Bret tapped him on the shoulder and he was ok with posing with Kara : )
When we got settled into our room, we could hear singing and a guitar. I went into the hall and couldn’t hear it anymore. We listened around a bit more, it was coming from next door. I wish we would have been brave enough to ask him to take it to the hall. lol
He has an amazing voice and we had a great time! I just had my baby camera : ( Here are a few pics!
