One day this summer I was listening to my friend david’s music. I had heard all the songs before but as I was listening to the song Holy Healer, I just started to cry. OK sob. david’s voice, his message, the pictures he was painting, the guitar and the violin – all together just made for one big sob. I listened to it over and over and the more I listened the more my heart felt wonderful, bandaged, glued, uplifted, joyful etc. The thought of ‘a room up here in Heaven where I fix the broken hearts” was just so comforting to me. I know that the Bible would say it in a biblical way but with david’s song I could really see it even better.
Every time I saw a heart shape somewhere, I would think about that song. Knowing I have a list of songs that david wanted me to put to pictures – like the It’s OK video we did – I just thought this must be the next song. I started collecting ideas and hearts. My friend Lynn was amazing help!!! She involved her whole family and photographed and collected hearts. david’s family sent hearts. david’s friends sent hearts. david’s fans sent hearts. It was such a beautiful thing to join with so many who love and miss david. The pictures I received have stories – many are gifts david gave that person, his bandanas that opened up filled with hearts, a rock placed for a weary heart to see, a GBM patient fighting the battle with his amazing wife, the black and white leaf that looks like a heart and an angel, a mother/daughter who are healing, david’s uncle who recently joined the heavenly coffee time is during the word fragile, one made with two friends many states away, a lot of ‘wrist sh*t’ honoring david’s ways, a drawing made with many david ideas, creeping charlie hearts – seriously, lots of coffee references and it just goes on and on.
My dream for this is really simple….I want it to be a sort of electronic bouquet of flowers. If you know someone whose heart is hurting, send them the link. I hope it might provide some healing when they see it, it does that for me!!!

At the very end of the violin, do you hear david’s quiet “yes”? I am sure I have heard that song a couple hundred times. I uploaded the slideshow yesterday (very timely) and heard it for the first time. I must take that as a simple sign that he likes it. I’m smiling and so very happy!!!!
