Princess Marie visits my kingdom!

On the first day of school at AIB, I was a nervous and shy mess.  Shirley was the opposite.   She was full of confidence and eager to meet everyone.    She wore a purple dress and hat, she was brave.   (Maybe I know now that she went to Catholic school and wore uniforms to school every day, this was a treat, school and choosing your own outfit!)   Shirley and I were both in the accounting program and our schedules matched.    We ended up becoming friends and she still is a precious sparkle in my life.  She moved to Salt Lake and I remember that day so well.  It including lots of sobbing as I knew things wouldn’t be the same.  What I didn’t know at that age is that there are some speical people in your life, that even though you may only see them every few years, you really just take off from where you left off.  It is a beautiful thing.

Shirley and Jan (he is Sweedish, pronounced Yawn) visited this summer with their sweet Marie.  Any trip to my house would include a few pictures or a multi-location photoshoot.  Marie was up for the latter.  Thank you for playing with me Marie, I had a great time!
