A MaidRite chocolate shake CAN cure anything!

My favorite quote of the day!    A rambling post to follow….

Over the last few months –  many steps in between but basically the mammogram, the stereotactic biopsy and today, the surgery.

My dear friend Lynn was diagnosed with breast cancer in June.     My heart was broken and to honor her, I made my mammogram appointment immediately after she told me.  It had been on my ‘list’ for some time but, well you know, it is easy to put off.    I just had a feeling but wasn’t listening to it.

My diagnosis was atypical ductal hyperplasia – no cancer (thank you God!!!) but not benign.   To be safe, the doctors wanted the tissue out and today, we did that.    The jury is out if it is precancerous or not the radiologist said today.    I’ll take the safe road and know we did what was best.

My friends and family have been fabulous and I knew they would be.  My clients have suprised me over and over again.  The cards, the emails, the calls, the text messages, the pocket angel, telling me to worry about me not their pictures, etc.  Amazing.  I had tears so many times just being so grateful for all the relationships this ‘business’ has given me.  My heart is so grateful for all of you.

My dear friend Lynn was with me the whole time today.    She has all of her own wounds to deal with but was such a good diversion and wealth of knowledge to have with me today.  Thank you honey!!!!    Oh, and we share the same surgeon.  The look on his face when he opened the door and saw us both there was priceless.

So, besides a nice slice where I would prefer not to have one,  I feel pretty good.    I’m going to try to do two seniors tomorrow.    Thank you for being patient, really.

Emily brought me the chocolate shake (she knows me!) and my sweet client Kim (who also got some great husband cancer news today!) reminded me that a Maid Rite chocolate shake can cure anything.  Try it sometime, I think she is right!

So, please please, if you need a mammogram, call right now and make an appointment.  Lynn and I would be so grateful!

And because I can’t post without a picture or two – a couple of vacation pics that fit this post well.
