My Eleanor

Here is my Eleanor.   I’ve known who her very good looking boys were for all my growing up years but didn’t know how one day she would be so important to me!!!  My momma watched my boys when they were little and I worked at Maytag (I work more now).   When I needed a backup Eleanor was it!  Some call her Norie, my boys called her Nonie, I call her friend!  *and I love it when she calls me babe!

Eleanor loves to cook and was used to cooking for 7.   If she starts feeling that cooking thing, we don’t mind it.  Often, we’ll get a call that home made rolls. ‘soup beans’, chili, CANDY at Christmas, home made rolls ; )  etc are waiting at her house.    We just love her!

Eleanor has lost so much family in her life.  My heart bleeds for her when we talk about all she has lost.  One thing she has lost is amazing though.  She has slowly been loosing weight by watching what she eats (tough for a cook) and exercising.  If it is too icy outside, she walks laps in her house.  She is serious.  For most of the winters I’ve known her, she won’t leave the house for fear of falling (I fear that too).  This year, she is out and walking all the time!   I’m just so proud of her.

She called and asked if I might photograph her as a suprise for her boys.  My studio is up 30 steps.  I warned her.  She couldn’t sleep the night before her session.    When she got to my house, she was up those steps in about 3 minutes, she was amazing and so very proud of herself.  I was too!

She recently gave the pictures to her boys.  This one is one of my favorites, no glasses and hip ; )  I’m proud of the new Eleanor and how very very hard she has worked.  She is precious to me!
