Miss Allie ~ Amazing on the inside and out!

On occasion there is a contact between the camera, lens and the eyes of the subject.  No words are necessary.   Breathing is suspended, heart rate speeds.  Move.  Click.  Move.  Click.  Move.  Click.    Breathing returns and laughter erupts.   This photograph of Allie – who laughs all the time – happened during one of those moments.    0 votes […]

Miss Chelsea ~ Senior 2011 SE Polk High School

My momma is NOT a fashionista – she is many wonderful things but certainly not interested in fashion.   Any form of ‘fashion’ I got, I had to go elsewhere to find it. My shooting style is a bit crazy, not clean and may involve mud and climbing.  Chelsea’s absolutely beautiful momma came to the session […]

Miss Alex ~ Harlan High School 2011 Senior

When I photographed Alex’s senior pictures last summer, she was still 16.  Yikes.  She is a very beautiful and mature 16 year old.  The first time I photographed Alex I think she was 13.   Her momma ordered this picture as a 16×16 inch square.  When she picked it up, I told her it wasn’t big […]

Charlotte Rady As Laura’s aunt, I’ve had the pleasure over the years to watch her grow from a sweet adorable inquisitive baby into the loving intelligent beautiful young woman that she is now. I’ve been blessed to see and to share in every stage of her life. Though I find her a true beauty, Laura’s love of God, her humbleness of heart; love for humanity, and willingness to give and to learn (in areas that some adults do not yet understand) are what make me so proud of her. She ties everything up in that beautiful open happy silly laugh of hers. Laura has blessed my life and I know she is going to bless the lives of all those who find her upon their path. <3

Alison ~ 2011 SE Polk Senior Portraits

If you remember this story from last year, I photographed her sister Sydney…..When I graduated from college I worked for the Deloitte accounting firm.  One of my jobs was to work with the accountant at the architectural engineering firm in Des Moines.   I loved it there.  I loved the people and I especially loved the accoutant Kay.  […]
