Amy Doerring Photography bio picture
  • Welcome to my blog, a look into my he'art' and soul. Online you can find me here, in real life, I own a portrait studio in Newton, Iowa. My tag line is 'still photography ~ moving images.' I hope that something you see here will move you beyond the still.

The picture on the left, I am in the middle with my two sisters. The middle child, yes that describes me, lol.

  • Scheduling Notes:

We are currently booking for families and children in September and October. Seniors are currently booking for the Summer of 2012, those who will graduate in May 2013.

Newborns are exactly that, new! We photograph them in the first days of life so schedule well before you are due and we'll make sure that we get that sweet sleepy new look.

Please schedule by calling the studio at 641-792-6631. To better define your needs, we find voice communication best when scheduling

Banx and Harlow

Cousins Banx and Harlow visited me on a glorious Fall morning.  The light was exquisite and the clothes were crazy cool.  Harlow is a few weeks younger than Banx, imagine the fun they will have growing up.     The red barn, red box, purple…that was my thing for this fall, you’ll see it a few times, I just couldn’t get enough of the colors together.  Yummy.

Sweet Baby Aleynah

Here is my friend Sue’s granddaughter – how could someone my age be a grandma??????  Life really does go by so quickly.  Sue lives in North Carolina so it has been so much fun to reconnect…can’t wait to see Aleynah again!

Aleynah was 6 weeks old here, a very tricky age to be photographed.  She was an angel, she did some sleepy baby and then a few smiles, seriously so hard to get a 6 weeks.

Baby brother Brody

So I am waaaay behind in my blogging….it is hard in the fall/Christmas season to take any time away from getting that work done but…I’m back.

It isn’t often that I get a few newborn pictures outside in the fall but beautiful weather the whole season allowed me to do things I couldn’t imagine.   Here is baby Brody who joins one of my favorites, Miss Candence.
