Getting all grown up!
Newton then Bettendorf then Chicago. Uggg they keep getting further away from me. Their mommy is my late night phone buddy [along with some others : ) ] and keeps coming to see me. I appreciate their efforts more than I can say!
We shot both in and outside but I just love their simple faces right here.
Who do I shoot for?
Me. Plain and simple. Me. Now if a client likes something that I do and decides to buy, great. But simply, that is not my motivation. OK, well I do like to sell because I like to buy photography stuff : )
Here is an image of Wes and Lydia. Since Wes graduated, his house has been a little shrine to him. I’ve talked to Lydia many times about being anxious for her senior pictures so it might look like she lived there too. We would laugh and know it was coming very soon.
So I saw this when I was doing Lydia’s senior pics. Do mom and dad like it? I’m not sure. Do I? Absolutely. I totally dig it. Lydia is totally in focus, very sharp. Wes is a little off to the back, softer focus. He is standing back, Lydia is it now. Her inner and outer beauty are busting at the seams and Wes watches with approval, giving up his throne, or more likely, sharing the wall space with his stunning sister.
I don’t always see what you see. That’s ok, that is why I shoot. For me and I’m good with that.
*I have to edit! They do like it! I hadn’t looked at their order detail yet. OMG, very happy when someone likes my wierdness!

Amy! I cant believe how grown up he is! I still remember when I had Kyle and Cole in my swim lessons at the Y!
